I can´t find a way to sidechain within a thirdparty plugin like its possible with logic. Is there a way. I just downloaded the new fabfilter pro q 2. It allowes to sidechain but i cant find away to sidechain it within the plugin. All help is appreciated.

Check this picture below to see what i mean! I want this feature on thirdparty plugins also inside bitwig. Thanx. alt text

FYI I got in touch with support and they replied that VST sidechain functionality will be available in 1.1 and that it's out "quite soon"

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure you can't do this - it's a limitation of v1.0.x.

I'd also vote for more flexible routing of both audio and MIDI.

Lets send and complain to bitwig techsupport. Even if its v1.0 its a big limitation and a have to have feature.

I've seen posted that Bitwig is addressing multi-out plugins (e.g. Kontakt) in v1.1. This needs some way of routing separate MIDI tracks to the VSTs, I'm hoping more flexible routing all around with the feature:

I'll send them an email, though. :)

Really great bro. yeah send email to them. I think its important to show the need of a function like this. Many who produce count on this function, alot of compressors and other things that use this function like 1176 compressors etc.

I second this request. I just purchased FabFilter Pro 2 as well and was hoping to use their sidechain feature. Audio MOD isn't helping here because it's not automation that I want to route into the FX but actual secondary audio signal that would be available within the plugin for further use (to be displayed beneath the EQ curve visually on an analyzer).

I can´t belive bitwig missed this feature. Bitwig is really awesome. But i will request this to support tomorrow. This is a must have function! Agree FabFilter Pro 2s new sidechain function would been awesome
