I've noticed that when I attempt to adjust the bitwig Master volume using the Jam mainEncoder knob, it only works in one direction. ie I can turn it down, but I cant turn it up again. I had a look at the controller script and it appears to assume that the encoder returns an incremental value of -1 or +1 at each step in the rotation. But when I printed out the value I found it simply returns its actual value - a number between 0 and 127. Ok, so I can see why the script is failing, but I don't have enough knowledge to fix it myself. Does anybody have any experience they can share. I'm happy to read api docs and try and figure it out, but I'm having trouble finding much info that relates specifically to the Jam.

thanks David

Ha! I found the solution about 5 minutes after posting my question.

In the NI Controller Editor UI it is possible to edit how the knobs and buttons work in the Bitwig Template. All I had to do was select the main control knob (now shows CC 86 label), then goto the "Assign" tab on the right. Then in the "Turn" tab I changed "mode" from "absolute" to "relative". After that, the knob works as described in the manual.
