I'm using Bitwig on Win10 and i've chosen ASIO as the Bitwig audio engine instead of the default WASAPI (for numerous reasons) and for some reason there's no audio playing in other applications (like Youtube, Music Players and so on). I'm also using a M-Audio 2x2m Audio Interface and if i plug it in again, the audio works again. I'm thinking it has to do with the ASIO engine, but i couldn't find any fix online and it's getting a little annoying.

bitwig dont have release audio outside of daw one has it. close daw or keep it up don't minimize it, just go to another page etc

Having the same problem here. Except when I attempt to play audio outside of Bitwig makes my driver start crackling and ends up preventing me from playing anything on Youtube, Spotify, etc..

Interface is Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 on Windows 10

I can confirm that if I use ASIO on Win10 I cannot use even a secondary audio output device for Windows and one for Bitwig through ASIO4ALL.

Is Bitwig reserving all of the ASIO/ASIO4ALL devices for it self?

I have the same problem on Windows 10 with an Audient iD44. Has this not been fixed yet?

Isn't this what ASIO does normally? If you want to hear Windows Audio while using the ASIO driver, you need an ASIO driver that supports it. I don't think that thats Bitwigs fault. Or am I understanding something incorrectly?

I keep Bitwig open while using YouTube, Hangouts, VLC, etc. without any trouble on Windows 10. I used to do the same for Live, but changing the audio sample rate could cause problems. In my case, ASIO4ALL and Mackie ASIO drivers work great at 44100 Hz. Switching to 48 kHz would work in Live only while the rest of Windows would go silent ... then switching back to 44100 Hz would make all programs happy again. It's probably more of a Windows/system issue than something that Bitwig team can fix. Hope this helps.

Okay, good to know that it works for you on Windows 10, voidshine! I am able to do this with both Cubase and Studio One but Bitwig doesn't allow this for some reason (I have made sure that the sample rate is the same). I will look into this some more.
