I just started using a plugin which VST3 version behaves badly. Every time I open it from Bitwig 2.2.2 it shrinks in size. Basically it is useless from the first displaying and getting worse every time. I have noticed this also with VST2 plugins.

The VST1 versions does work correctly all the time.

I hope Bitwig can test and verify and fix the problem in future releases.

I have been struggling with this same problem. My platform is Windows 10, and most of the time I pick the VST2 64bit plugs. I have problems with a lot of plugins not drawing correctly: several of the FabFilter plugs, Waves, the Access Virus VSTi, etc. The FF plugs in particular are central to my workflow, so this is dragging things to a halt. All the plugs are the most recent version from their vendors. These plugs never have this type of problem in the other DAWs I own, like Live or Cubase. It's a bit of a nightmare right now.

I experienced a similar problem. The plugin windows doubling their size every time they get recalled to the screen. It´s on win 10 and happening to Toneboosters and a Audio Damage plugins. All which are in general capable of resizing their window. The unwanted resizing happens with VST3 versions and only when they have been manually resized in the first place. The Audio Damage "Axon 2" is especially bad, it already starts with lots of black space around the gui and is unusable because knobs and sliders are misaligned from the gui.

ok, part of the problem might be win 10 high ppi scaling. I´m on a laptop with high res screen. If I set the system to display all in 100% original size most of the described problems disappear. The Toneboosters just keeps jumping to it´s 100% scaling every time it gets recalled. Axon 2 is all fine then. Win 10, Bitwig and the plugins scaling their sizes seem just to confuse each other.

Workaround would be lower resolution (for readability) and original size in win display settings.

Confirmed on my system. If you set the windows OS zoom to 100%, the plugin UIs will be OK. Bitwig devs are aware of the problem, hopefully they will fix the screen magnification.
