Is there a way to record the audio of the HW Instrument without needing to create a new audio channel?

Hybrid channels "should" be for that, IMHO... having MIDI and being able to record also the audio.

Any work around?

Frankly I do not understand where is the problem if you bounce to an audio track.

What do you need to get as a result? Clearly you can't really bounce-in-place using external hardware: simply it doesn't fit the concept. And for hybrid tracks, when you record, you record midi. But you can mix with audio material in the track.

So, given the main schema, where really is the problem? From your question I cannot understand where is the problem: you can bounce audio to an audio track.

I agree, you'd expect hybrid could also record audio... unless I'm missing something!

Also, when 'bounce in place' hardware using HW instrument, should auto select realtime. Right now it just results in hung notes. You have to use 'Bounce' with hardware and select realtime.

Having the same problem, can't get any audio bounced or otherwise from my hardware instruments?
