Is freezing a track supported in Bitwig 2.x (2.2 as of this question)? If so, how does one do it? If not, is it possible to request it?

Have a look at the "related questions" to the right of this page. The question has been asked before. The simple answer is "No". Meaning not in the same way as you would in other DAWs. But you can "bounce" an instrument track to a new audio track and then mute the original. Different workflow, but similar result.
