Here's how to reproduce:

Save a project for the first time, go to the project folder location and make a copy of the whole project folder. Try to open the copy. This only happens if the actual project file inside the project folder has the same name still.

It will behave much like when you try to create several new (empty) projects. It just closes it right away. This doesn't happen though, if you first close the original project and load it again.

Also (while at it) the protection that several new projects cannot be created one after another is kind of useless, since you can still create as many new projects at the same time as you want by just alternately creating a new project and loading an existing project as many times as you want. Then the "guard" doesn't work.

We can't really reproduce what you explain there... please report it a bit more detailed to! This Question and Answer system is aimed at sharing knowledge about the app, but not bug reports. Thanks!
