Does the new ES-8 Bitwig Edition work/support linux?

While I can't state definitively, I see from the ES website http://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/es8.html

"The ES-8 is a USB 2.0 class-compliant audio interface..."

That, and their manual http://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/es8usermanual.html#drivers stating "No driver is required for macOS or iOS" also support the idea it is class compliant.

As such, I would expect the hardware itself would be detected and functional with any Linux distro.

However, it seems the ES "silent way" drivers for expansion modules may not be nativly compatible:

https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-audio-users/msg107595.html

and the link to the silentway gihub repo shows it is not yet functional.

You might try asking on the KVR ES Forum https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=85

Cheers,
