I would like to know why the initial volume of the track -10db. Other daw begins with 0db.

It´s like a safety net. Its at minus 10 db cause just to be safe. If you put an instrument in bitwig, then put an fx after its easy to alter volume up and down. If you have minus 10 db you will have more like a protection from cause unwanted loud clipping, That could still happen, putting a limiter is a good trick to protect your ears from unwanted loud suddenly loud volume. Also minus 10 db is actually good, cause it will give you more headroom. There is actually limited amount of volume that can go out from master. And when you put in alot of instruments those together will add up on master if they share freq.

If you want to change, go to options -> preferences. Be in "general" tab. then go to default track volume and type in how you want it to start if you like to use 0db type in 0. :)alt text
