If you've poked around in your BitwigStudio.log file, you might have noticed some (possibly MANY) "metadata error " messages that look like this:

[2018-09-25 06:02:57 indexer error] Error reading metadata for file EQs Filters/iZNeutronEqualizer.dll:
java.io.IOException: com.bitwig.flt.library.metadata.reader.exception.CouldNotReadMetadataException: could not read metadata: com.bitwig.flt.library.metadata.reader.exception.CouldNotReadMetadataException: could not read metadata: Could not read VST plug-in metadata
64 bit plugin host reported errors: Pluginhost returned non zero exit code -1
32 bit plugin host reported errors:

I finally got around to asking Bitwig Support about these, since there are a LOT of them in my log file: one for nearly every iZotope plugin, and one for nearly every CaptainPlugin from Mixed in Key.

Here's their answer, in case anyone else ever wonders the same thing:

nothing to worry about, all the iZotope DLLs that start with "iZ" are actually not VSTs, but other DLLs their VSTs make use of internally, so this is expected and all the actual VST themselves should show up just fine in Bitwig Studio.
