Audio from my UAD Apollo Twin MkII no longer registers in Bitwig. Settings are the same as what has worked many times before: Mac sound preferences Input and Output set to UA Apollo Thunderbolt | Guitar on channel 1 in the UAD console | Bitwig audio Input and Output Devices set to UA Apollo Thunderbolt | Bitwig Input Bus enabled for channel 1 | Audio track with guitar input armed for recording. As shown in attached pictures, UAD is getting the audio input and producing the expected output, however, Bitwig is not registering the audio track input. Would appreciate any advice on how to troubleshoot.

Bitwig 2.4.2 on MacOS Mojave 10.14 with UA Apollo Twin Duo MkII running Console 9.02

Going back to Bitwig 2.4 and 2.4.1 did not fix the problem.

Same issue here with my RME Babyface, iRig HD2 and built in Microphone...

System: MacBook Pro - OS X Mojave

Solved: --> System Preferences... --> Security & Privacy --> Microphone --> check on "Bitwig"

There is a really easy fix for the devs here. Just add the entry in the .plist for access to microphone. Please fix it.

Have same problem, after update to Mojave using Audio komplete 6 and Behringer UMC404. Hope there is a solution in sight.

are you saying that your Scarlett stopped working or never worked properly?

Which Bitwig version wre you using? Not that this really matters in my experience, I run bitwig on ubuntustudio since version 1, now 2.5, and never had troubles recording... Actually Bitwig on Linux doesn't even touch hardware, expecially if you run on jack audio.

Did you check write permission on the projects folder you are currently using? And disk quota or file system space?

Does the Scarlett work properly as an output device? Did you try to run the demo projects? With which results?

Waiting for your response,

best regards,

thank for you reply

It use to work, but than had no sound, but you could see on the scream that signal came through

Had some work with getting this issue fixed, but now everything works also midi keyboard, so that rules,

Only that interface, where I have a Roland TR08 plugged in analog mono

Using Ubuntu 18 and Bitwig latesrt version 2.5 .. must say since i have sound; my qjackctl is out of function,

did a lot things along with my brother to get this far, too many to summarize a lot of trail error, any the only thing left is this interface .. which works fine on audacity .. and my laptop recoganizes it so ... hope we can get it fixed .. kind of geting things pro ... with no budget, so thanks for effort and your time. best regards B.

I beg your pardon, I'm not a native English speaker so sometimes I get lost.

So please forgive me if you have already answered and I did not understand.

You can read the signal coming into Bitwig from your tr08 because you can see the Bitwig meters moving, but if you arm the track, press record and start the transport nothing gets recorded in the track?

No prob Farbrizio

Like you described it was before I got the sound working, so now I don't even get the meters up-lighting So no response or signal what so ever

thanks in advance Bert

ok. So... I do not understand when you say that qjackctl is out of funxtion.

And what doyou mean by "before I got the sound working".

Do you mean that you can hear sounds? In example running a demo project like "In cicles" or "berlon morning"?

Inthis case, did you try to create a new input channel, in the setup menu?

If you do that, you can assign that input to a new audio track.

To see the lights moving and have the track able to record, you have to arm the track, by clocking on the record button inthe track. To actually record, you have to pur Bitwig in record mode and then start the transport.

Answer my question and then ask for further assistance if you need. I will try to explain better.

Besr regards,
