Hey guys,

I have a big Problem. The East West Play Plugin just does not work with biwtig. Love this daw, don´t want to use another one but Play is a Plugin I need to use. The Problem does not appear in other daws (Studio One, Fl Studio). Often, notes won´t be played and when they do, they are to short or not exactly how i programmed then. When I reload a Project there is absolutely no Sound coming from the Plugin. Where can I ask for help? Is it a bitwig Problem (As I said, the problem happens only in Bitwig) or an East West Problem?

I hope someone can help me :)

Thanks a lot and have a nice day, Will

By the way, the Bitwig support guys provided this workaround. It's not convenient, but at least it works. let's hope East West fixes the bug quickly:

"As workaround, you can load the Play plugin, load the preset you want to use, play all the keys once and then reload the preset - this way the Reset message happens for every note once, and after that has happened loading the preset again should make it finally play correctly.?"

Someone on this Q&A site may have experience with that precise plugin. If not, consider emailing - They have been super-helpful to me in the past.

I've been in contact with Bitwig support and they have identified a bug in the East West Play plugin that causes this behavior. They have informed East West about this. So the problem is on East West' side. Let's hope they solve this issue quickly. I'm new to East West, so I don't know how quick they are at fixing bugs generally.

It looks like I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?

Yea me too, same problem..

I exported midi and imported it to reaper, and i can see that off velocity is set to the same value as normal velocity, maybe the problem is there some how?

Great work, let's hope it's fixed soon then. Still a bit weird it's only in Bitwig though?

Yea fingers crossed! And the work around works but super tedious, I'm bouncing it out as well :)

Contacted East West and they say Bitwig is not supported. But they did recommend a new audio interface.

That's strange. The latest version of Play and the Bitwig 2.5 beta solved the issues that I had.

I rolled back to 2.3.5 temporarily and it fixed the problem. I can't use the beta as I am working on serious for hire projects, so I'll have to wait and see if 2.5 actually does fix things. Thank you for giving me hope though RichN.

Does Bitwig 2.5 now fix this issue?
