The zooming is non-standard for a UI and I can't get used to it. The mouse wheel does nothing in the views. I'd expect this to either zoom or scroll.

Additionally, the scroll bar has a non-standard zoom feature on moving up/down. I lose my scaling every time I scroll as I'm unable to have perfect left/right motion with the mouse.

Is there a way to enable standard UI zooming/scaling? Make the scrollbars only scroll, and make the mouse wheel do something: preferably scroll, and then zoom with Ctrl+ or something?

This is honestly a major workflow headache for me. I need a fast way to scroll without accidentally zooming in or out.

Hi,

Bitwig developers understand that users might have a different usage paradigm that their.

They have been so cute to create a function expressely designed for this purpose.

If you enter the settings page, you may notice a "Shortcuts" choice.

In that page you can reassign all predefined keyboard gestures or assign new ones.

You can even assign Bitwig functions to MIDI controller actions, and save different sets of assignments for specific usage to be recalled later on.

Just remember that if you reassign keyboard shortcuts to different functions, they will not match the shortcuts used in the fine Bitwig user manual or in the various video available from AskVideo or around the tube.

I personally find this pretty flexible to adapt to any of my usage pattern.

If you have specific needs which are not covered by this, I believe developers would be delighted to hear from you: write them by mail to support@bitwig.com

Hope this helps to have a nice and funny Bitwigging!

Best regards,

Fabrizio
