Hi, i am on windows 10, installed bitwig 3 clean installation. i tried adding smart:comp as a vst and vst3 , at first bitwig said loading smart:comp talking too long check if there is a plugin menu ... and it was stuck at that . i clicked skip . since then the plugin never showed , i tried removing the plugin and reinstalling it . removed the location from plugin-in locations ...nothing i can't get bitwig to load this plugin .

Loading Message

i get the error :

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\smartComp_x64.vst3 com.bitwig.flt.library.metadata.reader.exception.CouldNotReadMetadataException: could not read metadata: Plugin host did not respond for 20.0 seconds exit code:1 stdout: PluginHost: Reading VST 3 plugin metadata for C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\smartComp_x64.vst3 stderr: Plugin host metadata command reader error:

Hi again Saeed! It's real simple man. All you need to do is to go to Bitwig's Dashboard->Settings->Plug-ins. Then at the bottom of the page you should see "Show Plugin Errors". Click on that and it gives you the option to rescan all problematic plugins or just the ones you choose :-) I hope this helps you.

Hi Saeedh, I got two questions which might help you. First did you try rescanning the plugin? If you don't know how to do that just let me know. Secondly, this problem is most of the times related to cracked plugins. If that's the case I don't know what to say. But if not trying to rescanning might help. Best Amir
