When can we expect more basic funtionality from Bitwig?

  • more shuffle options > groovepool > extract groove from audio
  • slicer mode in sampler
  • stepsequencer device
  • chord plugin
  • feature to set the mixer to a really thin mixer channel so more fit on your screen
  • vertical zoom

Nice list!

Have you tried to post this to the developers?

This is an user driven Q/A... not many of us, probably none, have a clue about that, alas!

Maybe you might be so kind to post the answer back here, to let all of us know!

No shortcut for vertical zoom in or out... maybe a zoom tool?

As far as zooming goes, there is a shortcut assign for zooming in the commander but can’t find it in the shortcut settings

Some ideas need a poll maybe in KVR?

slicer mode in sampler

This can be nice for external trigger slices - like in ableton. The only way i actually try this by using arpeg and note-velocity to trigger samples, and this is way too complicated , with slices, and triggering them i can get more from one sample...lets think further, editing slices like in reason octo-rex would be awesome (per slice, velo, pan, decay, pitch). The option should in the sampler available.

stepsequencer device

however this will looks can be a good addition to the awesome drummachine, but, basically drums are edited in the Roll or triggered by other devices. so i dont know whats the good point. i dont think that its a better idea to move the Roll in the Device-Chain with a sequencer tool.

chord plugin

Chord visual feedback should be nice, but here i will say that the arpeggiator need a ugrade, transpose semitones and maybe modulator-able chord-options, play direction, double trigger per note or something

other ones, imho...not very impressiv
