I love the drum machine in Bitwig, but a lot of the time it seems like I'll drag in a kick or a snare or what not and the pitch and timbre of the sample completely changes. Is that because its trying to match to tempo of the track or something? It doesn't really make sense why it would do this. Like when I drag a snare into the drum machine it becomes much shorter and higher pitched. Is there any way to stop this?

Thanks guys!

Do you drag it from the browser or from a clip? If it's from a clip, what stretch mode is selected? If it's from a clip, does BWS seem to bounce the file when dragging it to the drum pad?

From the browser into the drum machine. I was aware that it did it when you just drag the file into your session and have "stretch" turned on, but does it do it for drums when you put it into drum machine?

I just found out that you click the keyboard symbol on the upper left corner of the sampler. This will play the sample at a fixed pitch regardless of the key being used to trigger it.
