I've been asked whether BS supports real time bounce by someone who has a Virus which needs it. Anyone know? I'm noy actually sure how that is different to recording the audio coming in from a synth.

Realtime bounce isn't there yet.

Till then you have to record the virus or via the analog output(s) or via the usb output(s) in real time. This is the same as with other hw-synths or fx.

I've just checked, realtime 'bounce' is indeed an option, but 'bounce in place' just renders.

i'm assuming real-time bouncing option allow you to record a bunch of external gear/fx and treat it as if you're recording in real-time?

edit: added in the manual as the following:

"Real-time: A toggle to bounce at the actual speed (and time duration) of the selection. This setting is necessary if you are bouncing external hardware, etc."

i need to play with this...curious how long it takes to do it...real-time time?

real-time is real-time. :)

I should have added in my reply above that I used bounce in place before and real time render when using my Elektron Analog Heat hardware.
