I was wondering if there will be alias/global clips, bit in the way of Logic's alias midi regions, but for both midi and audio clips? With unlink/replace clip ect options for the timeline.

Cheers!

I find this a pretty good idea: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=259&t=421461&start=60#p6075970

He has selected multiple clips at once and opened the editor in clip editing mode! Then he uses the time selection tool to copy the first note of all clips several times.

Using layered editing also works with multiple audio clips: layered audio clip editing how it looks in the aranger

It's not the same as ghost clips but a good and flexible workaround I think.

Yeah, that's a neat trick, thou it's more of a multi-editing idea than alias/ghost/global/symbol/smart clip thing. Also, I think these "smart clips" would make a lot of sense in Bitwig, especially if they're are planning on multi-user collaboration ect.
