Suppose you have an idea in your mind and record it to a midi track, but find that the notes only span 3 bars.

Is there any way to then adjust the BPM and expand the notes to fill 4 bars, without changing the speed/sound of the recorded notes? I.e. If you simply chose the wrong BPM to start with, and want to keep the sound exactly as-is, can you adust the BPM/grid while leaving the sound of the played notes as-is?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

There is a long thread about this: How to stretch a MIDI clip?
