Does Bitwig put VST plugins to sleep (i.e. stop processing) when no notes are sent to them and they're silent for a while? Is there a way to disable this optimization for certain plugins, so that they will always be processed to produce output?

Hi voidshine,

the state of a plugin is shown in the interface with a yellow circle, which becomes a moon when "sleeping". You can see it for Pianoteq and the second instance of Diva.

in the device inspector, at the left of the interface, there is an option about this.

Look at the picture:

Just below the orange active and enable, you have a Suspend combo. You can enable, disable, or trust plug-in management.

Hope this helps,

Fabrizio

Perfect, thanks a lot Fabrizio! In retrospect I'm wondering how I missed this.
