One of the largest processing bottlenecks: multichannel VST such as Kontakt. Typical setup is to have tracks with midi routed to midi channels on that VST. This VST then outputs to its audio subchannels with their respective chain of effects. Unfortunately there is no way to then bounce the output of each such subchannel of the multichannel VST to a seperate or at least single audio track. That way one always has to use the live processed midi/vst chain, which can be a resource strain. It is no solution to simply create a new audio track, have the VST subchannel as source and then play/record. This will record all possible glitches as well.

Please take this on the roadmap: allow bouncing of vst output to seperate audio track either for full track or time selection in arranger...
