I know Dom has stated in another thread that Bitwig Studio currently only functions as MIDI clock master, and not as slave. https://answers.bitwig.com/questions/147/can-bitwig-sync-to-midi-beat-clock

Are there plans to implement this?

A lot of us like to collaborate and play together, and though I can probably beatmatch all night, not all of my of friends and colleagues can do without sync. This means that one of use gets to use Bitwig Studio, while the other(s) is/are stuck using Live or something.

We might add jack transport support in the future, along with jack midi, too.

Agree with the JACK implementation. Seems like it is the standard that really needs to be supported in BW. I am having very annoying issues with the midiclock drifting when controlling hardware sequencers - however SEQ24 is almost rock solid. Really looking forward to seeing this addressed in the future!

It would really be a great step to professional use, if BWS would fully support JACK.

In Ardour for example, all the tracks are exposed as separate channels to JACK (audio & midi) and it can be used as a time-master/slave with JACK-midi.

So the user could insert a JACK-capable program somewhere from the JACK-universe into a BWS-channel.

I know, JACK is not that easy as programer, but on the user-side it's simple awesome.

Yes please implement midi support with Jack. I've already asked a question about this concerning firewire audio/midi devices but have received no reply....
