Hello everyone! I am using Bitwig on Linux and, since the last couple of versions, I can't drop music from the browser into the arranger view. I remember being able to do it on previous versions but somehow I can't do it anymore.

Here are my system specs:

  • OS: Arch Linux (everything up to date as of now)
  • Bitwig 1.1.7
  • Hardware: Thinkpad X200

Hello, got a similar problem on my Arch-Linux-Install. I only could drag .wav files from the browser into the arranger. For .mp3 and .ogg files no playing and no drag/drop (Totem and Renoise-demo played .mp3 -> codec installed).

Because of Bitwig is released for Ubuntu i've installed Xubuntu 15.04 and now i can play and drag every audio.

I have this exact problem on Debian, what is the required package for this functionality ?

Ex: reading flac :

[2017-11-11 17:20:08 float-document-master error] : Could not read file metadata: could not read metadata: Could not read audio file metadata
