You want a drum chain that plays random samples out of a list or round robin etc?

Easy, peasy, but maybe not completely obvious:

If you don't have a multisample and don't wanto construct one, in a track or existing drum chain, add this:

  • Device Chain: [LFO-MOD [ Note Pitch Shifter + Drum Machine [Slots filled with your samples]]]
  • Switch one of the LFO's to Random or Triangular (round robin) and (optional) only Positive - the +- icon should be gray
  • Let it modulate semi-tones in the note pitch shifter, adjust so it the resulting notes hit your only your drum chains (otherwise, you'll get quiet hits which can be fun too!)

If you have a multisample already, you don't need the drum machine, a simple sampler with one of its LFO's modulating a Pitch Shifter in the note fx slot achieves the same.

You can even automate parameters of this so e.g. at certain parts of your track, not all samples get to be played - there's (as always) endless possibilities ;)
