i am running a newmark dm3002x trying to record a mix through bitwig and when i set my input channel to record from my mixer everything that comes in is super distorted even if i turn it all the way down i was wondering if anyone else was having this problem and if there was a fix?

Hi there,

I am trialing Bitwig for the first time and I too have issues with 16/48 data coming from my hardware mixer. Even when I max out my buffer to 1024 I still get clips and pops. Playing with various volume settings from my synth, mixer and OS seemed to help but it's still very noticeable.

On Audacity, zero problems whatsoever when recording. But using Audacity on the side doesn't really translate well to good workflow...

This is using an A&H ZED-14 with a decent rig (i5-2500k, 16GB memory).

Any clue? Anyone else having buffer issues?

Hi mrmoola421 and jabs, I am not sure that your problems are the same. Distortion, clicks and pops can mean different things.

We (at least, I) need more information (your OS, a piece of recording, a picture of your setup, recording settings and values for example) to have a more precise idea of the problem...

mrmoola421: can you confirm that when you monitor your mix through your mixer, everything is clean? In BWS, what is the mixer track state you are recording in? any plugin active? Have you tried with another recording software?

Jabs: what audio driver do you use in Audacity and in BWS?
