Hey guys, Running 1.1.8. at the moment. Recently purchased a Virus Ti2. The Ti2 is capable of playing 16 different patches, but you can only do this if the Virus plugin itself can receive multiple midi channels at once. I've seen this question posed before but it seems the answers do not make any sense. As I've seen some suggest creating multiple instrument tracks and using note receiver or just generic input/output routing to send multiple midi signals to the Virus Instrument. But this doesnt work seeing as no matter how many Midi instruments I create they are all still operating on "Midi Channel 1" Thus only playing 1 patch in the virus.

TL;DR How do you make a midi instrument operate on "midi channel 2, 3, 4" etc, in order to let the Virus instrument receive multiple Channels of Midi, not just multiple signals of the same channel?

Thanks in advance for any answers!

Answered my own question a few hours later.

If anyone else has the same question. The answer is pretty simple.

Step 1: Load your multiple patches into your Virus instrument.

Step 2: Make sure your Virus is in "3 output" Mode. And Make sure you activate those outputs in bitwig using the little"double right arrow" button located on the plugin in the mixer chain.

Step 3: Create a second Instrument track and route the output to "Notes to track > Instruments > Virus Ti". A small white box should appear to the right with the number "1". This indicates which Midi Channel is being broadcasted by your instrument channel and when armed for recording or monitoring you should be able to hear that patch being broadcasted!

Step 4: Repeat Step 3 for each subsequent patch.

With this inclusion of tracks, the virus ti periodically falls off. You have to click from one track to another several times to start playing. And this is a software problem, since everything works as it should in Ableton.
