Hello Bitwig support team.

How to edit velocity curve of my midi keyboard in Bitwig? When I play melody on my keyboard and I hit notes lightly I can barely hear it. I must hit it hard to get the full volume and that's my question: how to set default value to, let's say 60%? In FL Studio I had that option, here I can't find it and there's main issue that I don't work on it until I find out how to fix it. Could you help me?

Hi,

(I'm just another user here) I don't know of a global velocity setting in BWS but most native instruments (all but Organ and FM4) have a velocity sensitivity parameter, labelled "vel sens.". Turn this down to your liking.

For VSTs, you may find some that have an equivalent feature.

I know this is old post but...

Global Velo is extremely useful, hopefully BWS implements global velocity editor.

I did find this tool that will help with velo, just place ahead of the instrument in channel

If you're using BitWig's native samplers they'll all have a velocity option on the right hand side just above the Output dial. You can set it up to your tastes.

You can also retrospectively change the velocity on Midi you've already played in in some interesting ways - if you select the notes in the midi clip the bottom left corner of the screen will have some various percentages shown that you can edit, two of which are for changing velocity. If you click the little arrow immediately next to these values, you can select change the spread and extremities of the velocity over a selected time - just click and drag the values labelled Chaos, Mean, and something else (sorry, I can't check right now).

Hope some of this helps.

I have veloscaler working as a Global Velocity controller, I have 3 presets you can try for the velocity plugin, and just load my preset or tweak for whatever kb your using etc, I was using a roli seaboard so it might not work for others as well as for me of course, velocity is a personal thing.

Put these in the preset folder for veloscaler, an example path is below. Make sure veloscaler is before the instrument, feel free to scan the download, it is just 3 presets ala veloscaler.
