I used to get the classic 'Engine Failed to Connect' error telling me that the audio interface isn't available. I've figured out I have to change the audio output of Ubuntu to 'built in' to let Bitwig use the interface. I can't get the inputs from the interface to work however as there is no option for Ubuntu to have no input or use the 'built in' to allow bitwig to use the inputs. Because of this Ubuntu hogs the input and Bitwig won't detect it.

I've tried stuffing around with JACK, and I don't know if I'm just a complete idiot but I couldn’t get that doing what I wanted.

If anyone knows how to get buntu to stop stealing the input line, or if anyone has any other advice I would be very appreciative.
