Ive searched everywhere in the manual, and looked online, but cant find any information on Bitwig and Sysex messages. I asked a sales rep via E-mail If Bitwig supports Sysex, and they said If Sysex messages were being generated, Bitwig should pass them on.

How do I pass Sysex messages from a VST to a Hardware Instrument?

I coded a VST plugin which generates Sysex messages, and then sends them to the DAW. FL Studio and Cubase will pass them onto my external synthesizers, but Bigwig and Ableton do not =[

I have tried adding my plugin before and after the "External Instrument" device. Am I missing something?

Curious about this one too.

Really want to know about this too. have had to come back to ableton, or else i will have to use CC to control my analog gear - and have the dreaded filter stepping. This needs to be addressed really. isn't bitwig supposed to be kind of DAW/analog communication?

to my current knowledge, Bitwig cannot record or playback sysex data.

Best regards,

Bump. No sysex record or playback support in Bitwig seems shortsighted. I'm sure the developers have their reasons, but it mean migration from Cubase to Bitwig for me is now not possible. I've got VST plugins requiring Sysex and of course it comes into its own with outboard gear for various tasks.
