Most of the time when recording audio output from a VST (single or multi-out), if I use the default track and VST volume settings, the recorded PRE_FADER audio seems to have an unbelievably low gain amplitude. There is SOME difference from VST to VST, but at all default settings, it's generally so low that a volume adjustment alone isn't sufficient to bring it into a reasonably usable range. I find I have to add a Tool utility or some other FX plugin to boost the volume. I can use POST_FADER inputs with the volumes turned up, but then with a Multi VST, I lose the desired volume relationships between outputs. While I'm guessing this has a lot to do with the VST output, I'm wondering if Bitwig is creating some negative gain offset?

Anybody else notice this, or can suggest a solution?

Thanks!

The problem is particularly acute with AirMusic' Strike - which seems to output a particularly low gain signal.
