As a vocalist I'm used to recording layers/clips of vocals on top of each other. In other DAWs I've worked with in the past (mainly Logic) I worked like this: define a loop, press record and keep on singing multiple takes and different harmonies on the same loop. All recordings are then saved as seperate audio clips on top of each other. Easy to select and spread across tracks afterwards.

It look as though bitwig simply overwrites the previous take in this scenario. This makes recording layered vocals a very time consuming and less creative process.

Am I missing something here or is this a feature that is not yet implemented? If so, please do add it! This would be one of the features that make bitwig an even more interesting DAW for vocalists, singer-songwriters and live musicians imho.

Is there any solution for this yet? I also really miss that feature. Probably there is a way to do that though? Thanks for that question, too, and hoping for answers ;)

Multiple takes are coming to BWS in the form of multiple clips recorded in the clip launcher. Have a try at BWS 1.3.6, still in release candidate state at the time of writing.

There is no equivalent in BWS version 1.3.5 and before.
