With a license bought today, will the forthcoming features such as INTEGRATED MODULAR SYSTEM, NETWORK SYNC, ONLINE COLLABORATION be available in the future? Or will I have to buy a new license once these features become available.

In the Q&A it's said that online collaboration is planned for 2.0, and it says on the forthcoming page that it's coming soon so I'm worried that I won't be able to use if I buy a license today. and will there be discounts on upgrades?

Yes I really would like to know about this. For me in Particular I am mainly Interested with When the Integrated Modular System will become available. Will it Be available to the Original Supporters. Those of us who purchased Bitwig at Launch. I Just want to know if Current License owners can expect to use the Modular System. Since that was the main feature that made me decide to support Bitwig. I also liked the direction I saw the software going, The Modular System was just what set it in stone. Hopefully It's something we will get access to without having to pay for a new license.

I'm pretty sure that you will have to pay an upgrade price once version 2.0 comes out. It will not be a free upgrade. The only company that offers upgrade FOR LIFE is FL Studio.. meaning that when even when each major version comes out, the upgrade is free. Version 2.0 will be a major version/update. It doesn't matter whether you supported Bitwig from the beginning or not... it will be a paid upgrade from version 1 to 2. So I think I can safely answer both of your questions, YES, you will have to pay for the upgrade to version 2.

I honestly don't see version 2 coming out anytime soon.. Bitwig is not even at version 1.5 yet. No one really knows when version 2 will come out so it's rather pointless to ask questions like these. And again, we're only at version 1.3.5 right now, so I think it's going to be a while. From the looks of things, we might see version 1.5 in the next few months, or we might not. Nobody knows for sure.

I would actually prefer for the Bitwig team to take their team with Version 2.. address all the current bugs and refine some of the features, rather than rush into releasing Version 2.

To directly answer the question, current license holder are entitled to all of the 1.X updates for free, and that's about it. I'm just hoping they go easy on Version 1 users, in terms of the upgrade price.
