Hi,

Selections and pen tools are mapped to 1 2 3 4 5 keys, but on an AZERTY keyboard, theses keys just dont exist : http://www.computerhope.com/help/azerty.gif

There are & é " ' ( keys or MAJ + & MAJ+é MAJ+" MAJ+' MAJ+( but no 1 2 3 4 5

I was trying to map this five tools to the first keys i said, but "é" is not recognized by keymap manager :'(

QWERTY DOES NOT RULES THE WORLD :P

Have a nice day.

same for zoom in with + and zoom out with -

You can customize the shortcuts in the preferences dialog. It is not possible to have one shortcut mapping that can work on every single keyboard layout, obviously. To change these shortcuts search for "tool" in the action name in Options / Preferences / Shortcuts. Delete the existing assignments if you want and click the + button to assign a different key.

Is that a serious answer ?

It is possible, that's basic computing, a simple script can do that, or a dialog at the first launch... Do you think every QWERTY or AZERTY users on linux remap manually all keys to install the system ? So think about an AZERTY layout and purpose it at first launch if AZERTY keyboard is detected.

And for exemple, azerty key "é" not working is not a feature like the first i asked for. That's a bug :)

Thanks for that answer, but i dont think it's pro to let a user read a documentation and need him to think and understand that documentation dont work for him...

Have a nice day.
