Currently, Bitwig Studio (1.3.4) is not compatible with OSX 10.11 (El Capitan).

Known issues:

1.) Bitwig Studio only starts once after every reboot.

After quitting Bitwig Studio, it will refuse to start again until you log off /on again or reboot the machine. Instead of logging on/off or rebooting you can also keep the .dmg open and drag the Bitwig Studio icon to your applications folder before you start it or copy/paste the following line into the terminal.app:

/Applications/Bitwig\ Studio.app/Contents/MacOS/BitwigStudio

2.) Several 32bit VSTs don't open their graphical user interface

Several 32bit VST basically work and produce sound, but it is not possible to open their user interface. Currently, there is no workaround for this problem.

We're in touch with Apple about resolving these compatibility problems.

Do you have issues with fullscreen causing lag? Whenever I run Bitwig in fullscreen I get severe slowdowns / lag, but having it in a window (even maxed out), the lag goes away.

I will add one more issue under 10.11. Disappearing cursor when using Kontakt / Guitar rig VSTs. The weird thing is that after I move cursor to bottom of screen it appears again. Very annoying in edit mode ;)
