What is the best what to convert the .wav to an .mp3? I have larger music files so it seems more complicated.

I use the amazing open-source program Audacity, available for free on all platforms: http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/

Freemake audio converter or DVDVIDEOSOFT are freeware, perfectly doing their job.

I highly recommend LameDrop - which is using latest lame (high quality mp3 encoder), with a drag n drop interface. http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lamedrop.php
