new to digital so how do I combine the tracks together during mixdown or does it work diferrently here?

Not sure what you mean.

You can group a track (but that is not really combining a track) You can also make a instrument (midi) track compatible with audiofiles, making it a hybrid track (also vice versa). This should be done automaticly once a different file appears on e.g. an instrument track.

Then theres bouncing, right clicking on a track gives you an option to bounce it. And you can obviously export one or mulitple tracks and insert them to your project.
