Pardon my ignorance if I'm not using the correct terminology, but perhaps someone can help gain the knowledge I need to accomplish what I'd like, which is this: I'd like to know if it is possible to add a delay effect to just a portion of a track/loop, like 8 bars or so. I know I can add it to the whole track/instrument, but would like the effect to only happen in certain parts of the song.

Can perhaps someone help me, or point me in the direction of a good tutorial?

Thanks for looking!

What about automation? I think it is the right way to apply a Fx only when and where you prefer. Try it.

Thank you so much, I didn't know to look there, and now I see it! This is very helpful. I'm still learning about the program, and this is a huge help. Many thanks!
