Hey I want to zoom in and out using my macbook pro's trackpad, using pinch gestures. Instead of using the tiny timeline strip and remembering that up/down -> zoom in/out. Thanks!

Seconded.

Shift + - / cmd + - is very frustrating.

i've changed the shortcut to cmd + = for zoom in and cmd + - for zoom out.

you can use ctrl + horizonal trackpad gestures for zooming in/out, i really wish you could change this though...i'd love to be able to zoom in/out using cmd + vertical trackpad gestures.
