I've asked this a few times, but on the forums no one seems to have this problem or maybe they don't use this workflow, but this is kinda how I record my "ideas". Coming from Ableton Live, I may be expecting Bitwig to act like Ableton, but I just want to make sure I'm not doing an idiotic thing.

My question is this: can Bitwig do it, or not? And if yes, what am I doing wrong?

Here is my case:

I work only in clip launcher. I record one clip, using the count in and metronome. Now, I want to record a clip in a second track; but I want my first clip to play as I record. Again, I want to record this second clip using the count in and metronome, but when I do so, the following happens: 1 - the first clip on track 1 starts playing immediately 2 - the count in starts for my clip on track 2 3 - when I can then actually start recording it is one beat behind

In Ableton (and sorry for the comparison), when I press record, the count in will count down, and then all clips will start playing and I will be able to record.

So, again, my question:

Am I doing something wrong, or is this feature not in Bitwig? And if I'm doing something wrong, how to fix it; and if on the other hand Bitwig doesn't have this feature, will it be included in future?

Regards, Jean-Pierre

hi. i have no idea WHY oh why they dont fix this very obvious error/fault in the software. what were the beta-testers doing for 2 years? i could find this in the first 5 minutes when i started to use the beta. it is useless right now. i'm having exatcly the same problem as you do.

I agree with everything that has already been said. Really hope they fix this because at the moment Clip Launcher view is unusable in the way that it was probably meant to be used. The added Fixed Clip Length feature in 1.3.6 RC1 is a major step in the right direction but without synchronization between all the clips and the metronome, it is useless.
