I have a track region with hundreds of notes. I want to insert a few notes at a given point. In practice, I want to move all the notes from that point to the right by a given amount. I have try to use the knife to split the region in two. I then take the left region and extend it. But all the notes of the right region appear (the same happens with the right region). So I have to manually select all these notes and delete them in order to insert new ones. This takes too much time for such a simple task.. Ideally, There should be some function that allows me to delete all the events that are invisible in a current region, or that are after (or before) a given point. But perhaps it exists and I didn't find it.

Edit > Consolidate (Cmd+J) should do what you need.

The consolidate function, if I understand it, allows to merge several regions. What I want to do is the opposite : separate a region at a given point to insert events.

When you Consolidate a single clip, it deletes all notes that are outside of the clip start/end.

Thanks, I didn't know this behavior.
