Please does anyone know how to solve the no playback issue? If so please reply! I still cant figure this out!

I asked more for more details in your first request, but you may not have seen it. It really is a strange issue. Can you record clips correctly?

Yes I believe so. The yellow indicator lights are flashing and the notes are showing up. What outputs should I use if trying to use bitwig with a ROLI seaboard rise?

You should use normal output. The Seaboard doesn't make sound by itself. I don't own one, I just at some videos and I saw that you 're not limited to use the Equator synth. Can you upload a screenshot for we can see what's on your track?

Sorry I don't think that link worked. I will try something else.

It says I can't upload files because I don't have karma >60. What is karma >60? Am I being scammed?

No, on this message board users are awarded points on their participation. You can click on your name on the upper right to see your profile all that karma points stuff.

Okay. I thought it was something I had to download. Well what would be a next step? What else could be causing there to be no sound?

Yellow indicator? Looks like Ableton, not Bitwig ;-) Still I am not sure you get your clips recorded... You do get some rectangles on the timeline or the clip launcher, don't you?

It says bitwig 8 tracks though. I am very new to this and haven't had much time to play with it because I have been trying to fix the sound issue.

  — (Aug 16 '16 at 23:38) LillyBee

And I tried bouncing the track, what does that do exactly? Is it supposed to show just one line?

  — (Aug 16 '16 at 23:48) LillyBee

Bouncing a MIDI clip will convert it to an audio sample. It is useful when your CPU is reaching its limit, because it will not have to compute sounds and FX in realtime. You can also bounce Audio clips to have a copy which "prints" the FX in it.

Ok, don't worry. Let's start over (... don't shoot at me if I show steps as for a newbie!).

First, arm the track with your instrument for recording (circle in the rectangle button, on the instrument track). Click Record in the transport section, (and Play, if the option "start transport on record" is disabled - I set it like this). Hit a few notes, then Stop. What happens? You should have a new clip in the arranger screen. Like this:

So if you hit Stop, then Play, you should hear the notes playback.

Okay thank you. Sorry if I got mad. I will try this and get back to you with what happened.

I tried what you said and I am still not hearing any sound :(

Good news I just figured it out. I had to add it as an instrument. Thank you though for the help.

Great. Don't forget there is a user guide in the help menu.

Once again, didn't really mean to come off as angry, sorry about that.

Don't worry, I was not offended. Enjoy your Roli device and Bitwig, and post your creation on the Bitwig KVR forum!
