OK, well,

Jack is not working. I wanted to post a screenshot but, as it seems, I do not have enough karma.

Anyway, it says: "Error loading JACK library: jack_get_version_string"

And I am 100% sure I have jack. I use it in ardour and stuff.

Also, it seems Alsa is having problems as well:

This started in version 1.3.13 and it continues through 1.3.14

libxcb is installed, yes. My problem was that I was not using jack2. I am now. Jack works. Just alsa doesn't.

I'm also having this problem, trying to connect Bitwig 8-track 1.3.14 to JACK and ALSA. I'm using here one of the latest 4.8 Linux kernels, and latest Qjackctl version.

Support contacted me and said that BitWig reuires jack2; not jack-audio-connection-kit. This solves the jack problem. Now, alsa still doesn't work for me either.
