Are there shortcuts for: Setting the cursor at the beginning or end of a selected clip? The selected clip becomes the selected region (grey line) in in the beat ruler? Starting record?

You can select the clip and hit Ctrl-L, which sets the loop region around the clip and puts the play start cursor at the beginning of the clip.
