Is it possible to rename CC's. I want to make presets for all my hardware so that i don't have to keep written down lists of midi implementations around all the time.

Oh yes, I'm on the same boat. I've even drafted a Midi CC device that would be really handy. Midi CC device

I'm trying to make a work-around in Blue Cat's Remote Control. It's a .vst that alows you to link parameters to midi CC's but GUESS WHAT??? There is a bug in the plugin that doesn't alow you to rename that parameters...only in the mac version of the plugin /(

Yeah! A Midi CC device would be really cool!

Would be nice to have modulation outputs from CC as well (from that Midi CC device drafted above). This would let us modulate other device parameters with CC, even with CC generated by a Midi VST :)

Hmm, of course you could put the Midi CC device inside, say, a LFO mod to modulate any CC value - or do you mean to send midi CC from an external device or to?

what I meant is to modulate other devices (like built-in effects, for instance) from Midi CC; we'll have to add a nested chain to the Midi CC device then

Meanwhile CC Rider is free and does the job. You can rename CCs with device macros (Windows only)alt text

Any free alternative for Mac? Also the beaty of native Midi CC device would be cross-platform patche sharing ect for common hardware..
