Im trying out Bitwig, it doesnt seem to have this very elementary function, midi event chasing is a common function of quite a lot of DAWs, Digital Performer, Logic, Cubase, etc. It means that wherever you start playing your sequence the program will chase back anything to see what is supposed to be happening before that, in the most basic situation I have an 8 bar chords with a sequenced repeating sound and a volume controller at the begining, I want to hear my second or perhaps eight chord just before the event, like one bar before, it should chase back the volume controller AND the chord it is playing before that for continuity but it does not, I have to go back every time and listen from the begining to catch the attacks of the notes and the controller. Other DAWs have this implemented even with a list of what controllers (notes, CCs, modulation, patch change, etc) you want selectable in case you only need the very basic or the complete approach. Sorry for the long explanation and thank you!

I totally agree so boring issue...
